“Calmness stems from a peaceful center.”
― Pam Malow-Isham

As we all adjust to a new rhythm of life at home, there is an opportunity to go within and to find a deep sense of center. Fitness, Yoga, and Meditation all help us to connect to our body/mind and cultivate health, as well as nourish our spirit. Here are some offerings to keep you centered during this time when we are sheltering at home. With Mother’s Day coming up, I have included a lot of resources for Moms. Scroll to the end for Corporate Yoga and Family Fitness too!

ONLINE INTERVIEW ON EMPOWERMENT

Before the global pause, I was interviewed by Asana Journal. One of the questions that they asked me was, “What is your mindset when you see chaos around you? How do you normally respond to daily events that can be seen stressful to others?” I am happy to say that I stand by my answer in the face of the pandemic, and that answer can be found here.

TIPS

I know that so much time at home can be a “new normal” for many of us. Here’s a few ideas to help the days feel a little lighter:

  • Get outside, even a walk around the block can help boost your levels of Vitamin D and elevate your mood.
  • Breathe deeply and intentionally, by “drinking in” more oxygen, you are oxygenating your cells, and letting your nervous system know that you are safe.
  • Meditation can be a great way to go within and find a deep sense of center.
  • Turn off the news, or at least limit your exposure to the news.
  • Reconnect to simple pleasures like bubble baths, board games, and cooking at home.
