TIPS FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Jaime Catmull AKA Your Money Champion wrote a great article on 8 ways to deal with your debt stress. These tips are great for the holidays and help make decision making easier when purchasing gifts for loved ones. Click here to read the article and my mindfulness tip for approaching finances.

Just like we can sometimes overspend, sometimes we can overeat during the holidays. Most of us have an emotional relationship with comfort food and holiday memories. Here are some tips to nourish your senses from my recent post on @desibodymind on IG:

  • Look at beautiful art or the majesty of the sunrise
  • Breathe in the aroma of lavender oil or freshly cut grass
  • Touch your skin with nourishing oils and creams
  • Listed to the song of Nature in the morning, and your favorite music throughout the day
  • Taste foods that are naturally sweet, like fresh fruit or put sliced apples in an air fryer with cinnamon for a holiday treat that won’t throw off your glucose levels and leave you feeling sluggish an hour later
With Love, Desi
PS – Wishing you a happy and healthy Mother’s Day filled with love.
